Let me lay a little Soul Sunday on you ... Get your Vitamin "L" ... Soulman, B.E. Taylor! Born William Edward Taylor, a.k.a. Bill Taylor, a.k.a. Billie Eddie, best known as B.E., in Aliquippa, PA in 1951. I frist met B.E. at the West View Park "Tea Tournament", battle of the bands. "B" was in a group called the Redcoats, I was in the Cordells and our mutual good buddy, who won the whole competition, Pete Hewlett was in Peters Pipers. In High School, "B" formed a group called B.E. Taylor and the Establishment, at that time I was in the group Harombee and we would share nights at the "Love In" in Oakland. In the 80's "B" joined forces with three former members of "Crack the Sky", Rick Witkowski, Joe Macre and Joey D'Amico along with Nat Kerr to form the B.E. Taylor Group. In 83' they recorded the Rock 'n' Soul Classic "Vitamin "L". B. E. went on to become one the greats in Christian Rock and especially his unforgetable Christmas Shows. Of all the accomplishments B.E. Taylor has accomplished, I think the greatest accomplishment of all is his give back and love to others. By far one of the most loyal, humble, loving men I have ever met in my entire life. His faith was incredible and his warm loving delivery on stage was contageous. Some of my fondest memories as an entertainer was with "B", from our early days at the tea tournament, to our inhouse band at 3WS, the Christmas Oldies Masses, the studio fun and of coarse the benefits we all did with Donnie Iris, Jeff Jimmerson, B.E. Taylor and myself. B.E. will always hold a special place in my heart. We lost B.E. Taylor in 2016 to Cancer but his legacy will live on forever. So if you get down or feel low, just put on some of "B's" music, or better yet, git yerself some Vitamin"L" ... you will feel B. E's. Smile! Till tomorrow, stay safe, stay healthy, help a neighbor when you can ... and, GOD Bless!
